About Serendip Naturals

Serendip about - My Story:

I was born in Serendip, the ancient Persian name for Ceylon now called Sri Lanka. Derived from Serendip, the word “Serendipity” means the “chance but beneficially fortunate finding of valuable, fine or pleasing things”.
This perfectly describes my extraordinary life so far.
Immigrating to Australia as a young child, my parents chose to give up everything they knew and had, for the chance of a more fortunate life filled with opportunities for us.

Health and wellbeing were always a cornerstone for me because of Dad’s early training in medicine. This influence led me to a career in health care, first as a nurse and midwife, before the serendipitous discovery of Chinese Medicine. The powerful pull of natural, holistic health care was irresistible and  valuable. 
Qualified as an acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner, I have been trusted by my patients for the past 30 years, to  treat all types of health conditions including those affecting skin. This interest in skin treatments has led to more and ongoing study into the benefits of herbs and essential oils in skin care, resulting in the launch of Serendip Naturals.  
 
Knowledge is pure potential, sharing that knowledge gives it true power.
